Firefighter Ric Comes to Jefferson Preschool
by Miss Marlene and Miss Kris' AM Classes
Firefighter Ric came to Jefferson Preschool. He is Pete's daddy!
Firefighter Ric taught us about fire safety. One of our friends demonstrated how to STOP- DROP -AND ROLL if fire gets
on our clothes. We STOP so the fire does
not spread. We DROP to the floor so we
can ROLL and put the fire out!
If there is a fire in our house, we need to
get outside. Our family should figure out
a special place outside where we all
meet so we all know we are safe.
Firefighter Ric put on his gear so we could see what he looks like with everything on. He puts on a face mask so he can breath fresh air. A firefighter may look scary to some children when they wear their mask, but the children should not be afraid.
Firefighter Ric is the same person whether he has his mask on or with his mask off!
Thank you Firefighter Ric! You taught us alot and we loved having you visit!
