Jefferson Preschool Families
were invited to a
"New Family Welcome".
Families were given an opportunity
to tour the facility as well as see
resources available to them
as a member of the
"Jefferson Preschool Family".
Welcome new families!
Parents learned about the "ins and outs" of
our Jefferson website including the ability to
download necessary forms, preview the
class newsletters and access the CUSD 200 website and all school activity calendars
throughout the school district.
Webpage was explored.
Parent resource computers
Parents learn about our website. Parent computers
Jefferson has two Parent Resource
computers for use by Jefferson parents,
by appointment. Programs such as
"Boardmaker" are helpful tools
parents may access.
Jefferson Preschool Office
Our preschool office is located at the
front of Jefferson Preschool. Please report
any absences that your child may have by
calling the preschool office. Also all visitors
must sign in and obtain a visitor badge before proceeding to their final destination.
Sea200
The Jefferson Preschool library is accessible
to all preschoolers on a weekly basis.
Each class has a designated day and time at
which they visit the library. We have an
extensive Parent Resouce lending library
as well and books may be checked out by downloading a lending library form on the
Parent Resource Library webpage and
enclosing it in your child's backpack.
Any requested materials will come home
in your child's backpack.
Our Jefferson Library
Sea200 was represented at the new
family welcome. Sea200 is a Special
Education Alliance comprised of community members with children in CUSD 200
special education programs.
Jefferson powerpoint was enjoyed by all. Outreach at Jefferson Parent education and resources.
All parents who toured our facility had an opportunity to view a powerpoint presentation representing all of the activities as well as community projects that we are proud of
here at Jefferson Preschool.
Parents learn about opportunities at Jefferson Preschool to attend various parent
workshops called "Precious Gifts".
Jefferson also houses a sibling support group
for those who have a brother or sister with
special needs as well as a parent support
group called, "The Haven".
Parent support and education are
very important to us.
Jefferson has an active PTA
Jefferson Preschool has a very active PTA.
The PTA enhances the programs we already have in place as well as hosts our annual book fairs, family hayride, fundraisers, Grandparents Day, music performances and various other programs and activities throughout the school year.
